We provide goods to our customers of the highest quality, give them excellent service and after sales service, and all of this at affordable and competitive price. It is our goodwill that has made us a leading supplier of flanges, valves, tubes etc. in the past 20 years.

Instinox manufactures lap joint flanges in all steel material grades, including steel lap joint pipe flanges, stainless steel lap joint flanges and alloy lap joint pipe flanges. Instinox also has many different lap joint pipe flanges in stock and ready to ship. WE have one of the largest inventories in the country with more than over two hundred products stores in our warehouses. Our company also manufactures customized flanges as per our customer’s specifications. All our products are manufactured under strict supervision and monitored throughout the process of production.

ABOUT LAP JOINT FLANGES

Lap Joint Flanges, also known as Loose Joints are used with an interrelated stub – end that inserts in the inside of the flange. The main benefit of this type of flange is that once the pipe welds to insert to the tube end, the flange then can rotate for easier alignment of bolting roles.

Slip on flanges and lap joint flanges have the same ability to hold pressure at the stub ends. Situations like high external pressure or charging loads of force are not suitable for Loose Joints flanges. The main advantage that they add top the piping system is that it provides frequent dismantling for inspection or to remove build ups. Lap joint pipe flanges slide directly over the pipe and are usually used for stub ends fittings. A pipe is most commonly welded to the stub end and lap joint flange is free to rotate around the stub end. The benefit of this flange is that there will not be any issues with the whole alignment.

MANUFACTURING OF LAP JOINT FLANGES

The manufacturing process includes six major steps namely:

  • Cutting
  • Open and Closed Die Forging
  • Heat Treatment
  • Conventional and CNC Machining
  • Inspection and Quality Check
  • Packing and Dispatch

Steam hammer technology is used for our manufacture of forging products. It is based on open die forgings and drop hammer close die forgings. Visual and dimensional checking of raw material is done when after steel is received from the manufacturer. The stocks of SS and CS material are kept separately for fast access and simple distinction. The colour coding scheme to every unit of raw material is applied as per the colour code. The colour coding scheme assists to footmark the material during the manufacturing process. The criterion test certificate which is received from suppliers for raw material is studied. Then, physical and chemical testing of each material is done. The various types of raw material are given lot no. and details such as source of supply heat number, supplier’s certificate number, or a lot number of the company are decided. Internal Granule Corrosion testing and ultrasonic testing is done. Cutting and marking the materials are stamped with lot number for identity proof. The manufacturing division raises appropriation test for material the company want to use in their process. The material is issued symbolising the lot number. The required material’s length and weight are verified. The raw materials, which are in the shape of long rods of different diameters, are chopped with the use of huge saw cutting machines. A QC and inspection test is done to overview the flanges. Lastly, the flanges are assorted and packed for dispatch.

APPLICATIONS OF FLANGES

      • Natural gas companies
      • Chemical industries
      • Petroleum
      • Ship building
      • Paper making
      • Marine projects
      • Metallurgy
      • Electric power
      • Boiler etc.

USES OF LAP JOINT FLANGES

  • On chief benefit, because of which these flanges are highly demanded is that these flanges can be fitted to pipes of various sizes without welding.
  • Lap Joint flanges can be applicable to suit extremely high pressure applications, particularly at or near atmospheric temperature, when the necessary post-weld heat treatment is not possible.
  • Ideal for small diameter applications.
  • Economical and time-saving devices.
  • Mainly designed for noncyclic applications.
  • Suits extreme conditions where applications are welding is hazardous
  • Lap Joint flanges can be used in explosive areas.

LAP JOINT FLANGE MARKING & PACKING

Lap Joint flanges areas in the custom individually wrapped by hand to ensure that finest quality of the material is maintained and no damage in the last stage of production. Lap Joint flanges come with heat number tractability and brand marking for proper identification of all products.

QUALITY ASSURANCE

At Instinox, all fittings and flanges are subject to strict inspection and quality checks at all stages of the manufacturing process, from starting material purchasing to product dispatch. They are visually examined for conformity to ASTM, ASME, MSS, DIN, EN, and JIS codes and standards. At our requests, officially certified agencies are called to witness the material reports, dimension and quality conformity of products.

Test Certificates are given to the manufacturer after third party inspection under the standards: EN 10204/3.1B, Raw materials Certificate, 100% Radiology Test report Test Certificate.
