MONEL SOCKET WELD FITTINGS MANUFACTURERS & SUPPLIERS

At Instinox, it is deemed that it doesn’t work to leap a twenty-foot undertaking in just two ten foot jumps. We believe that it takes a tough grind and a set of inimitable procedures to produce a product with unmatched superiority. We consider the ‘Make in India’ initiative, as a golden chance for our company to spread its wings. Here at Instinox, we constantly keep on updating our team and processes, as it is proved that the problem is never in getting new, innovative procedures but how to get the old ones out, and to perform them. In the Indian subcontinent, we are one of the wells- known creators, suppliers and stockists of monel socket weld fittings. Any inquiry is deemed to reach us in form or the other, as we are a major source for small and medium scale industries with huge reasonably priced stocks.

ABOUT MONEL ALLOY

Monel is a combination of nickel and copper. Both being corrosion resistant and can also withstand fire. This alloy is mainly used for high-temperature industrial applications, such as oil and gas refineries, marine applications, in aerospace techniques etc.

INSTINOX: AN ONE STOP SOLUTION FOR MONEL SOCKET WELD FITTINGS

We are an ISO 9001:2008, and an OHSAS 18001:2007 certified company. Along with top-notch buying experience, we assure you of repetitive orders. Instinox is a highly recommended brand. Ours is an overwhelming record of less than one percent rejection rate. We do a hundred percent in-house testing of goods, before bringing it forth for sales. MONEL SOCKET WELD FITTINGS

In layman language, monel socket weld fittings manufacturers are two different diameters of pipes inclined to each other. The upper surface of the pipe with larger circumference is welded thus making it corrosion and heat resistant. We provide an array of monel socket weld fittings such as tees, inserts, caps, elbows.

TYPES OF MONEL SOCKET WELD FITTINGS

The types of monel socket weld fittings suppliers are based on their difference in size and shapes. Instinox avails all the types of socket weld fittings, as well as the ones not mentioned below:

Branch outlet fitting socket end
Forged 90 Degree Socket weld Elbow
Forged 45 Degree Socket weld Elbow
Forged Socket weld Equal Tee
Forged Socket weld Unequal Tee
Forged Socket weld Equal Cross
Forged Socket weld Unequal Cross
Forged Socket weld Half coupling
Forged Socket weld Full coupling

DETAIL MONEL SOCKET WELD FITTINGS

Monel socket weld fittings are the family of high-pressure fittings are used in various industrial processes. The socket weld design is commonly used in the demanding environments of chemical and power plants. They are used only in conjunction with as me the pipe and are available in the same size range. They are visually examined for conformity to ASTM, ASME, MSS, DIN, EN, and JIS codes and standards.
They are used for lines conveying flammable, toxic or expensive material where no leakage can be permitted, and for steam 300 to 600 PSI. They are used only in conjunction with ASME Pipe and are available in the same size range. They are used in areas where pipe-work is permanent and are designed to provide good flow characteristics.
They are produced to several ASTM standards and are manufactured in accordance with ASME B16.11. The B16.11 standard covers pressure-temperature ratings, dimensions, tolerances, marking, and material requirements for forged carbon and alloy steel. Acceptable material forms are forgings, bars, seamless pipe, and seamless tubes which conform to the fittings chemical requirements, melting practices, and mechanical property requirements of ASTM A105, A182, or A350.
The purpose for the bottoming clearance in a Socket Weld is usually to reduce the residual stress at the root of the weld that could occur during solidification of the weld metal and to allow for differential expansion of the mating elements.

They are available in three pressure ratings: Class 3000, 6000 and 9000.These types of connections are socketed so as to have a plain spigot end of the pipe. These are used on valves that are made up of steel, and for such applications that require higher pressure and/or higher temperature in pipelines that do not necessitate repeated disassembling. They ensure leak-proof connections, that too for a long time span.

DISADVANTAGES

The welder should ensure for an expansion gap of 1/16 inch (1.6 mm) between a de pipe and the shoulder of the socket.
In the assembly of the joint before welding, the pipe or tube shall be inserted into the socket to the maximum depth and then withdrawn approximately 1/16″ (1.6 mm) away from contact between the end of the pipe and the shoulder of the socket.
The expansion gap and internal crevices left in socket-welded systems promotes corrosion and make them less suitable for corrosive or radioactive applications where solids build up at the joints may cause operating or maintenance problems. Generally require butt welds in all pipe sizes with complete weld penetration to the inside of the piping.
Socket welding is unacceptable for Ultrahigh Hydrostatic Pressure (UHP) in Food Industry application since they do not permit full penetration and leave overlaps and crevices that are very difficult to clean, creating virtual leaks.

ADVANTAGES

The pipe need not be bevelled for weld preparation.
Temporary tack welding is no needed for alignment because in principle the fitting ensures proper alignment.
The weld metal cannot penetrate into the bore of the pipe.
They can be used in place of threaded fittings, so the risk of leakage is much smaller.
Radiography is not practical on the fillet weld; therefore, correct fitting and welding are crucial. The fillet weld may be inspected by surface examination, magnetic particle (MP), or liquid penetrant (PT) examination methods.
Construction costs are lower than with butt-welded joints due to the lack of exacting fit-up requirements and elimination of special machining for butt weld end preparation.

FORGED SOCKET WELD MONEL FITTINGS

The material for forged monel socket weld fittings conforms to the requirements of ASTM/ASME A105/SA105.The dimensions for forged carbon steel fittings conform to ASME B16.11

DIMENSIONS

Body Wall Thickness – The body wall thickness of socket welding fittings shall be equal to or greater than the values
Socket Wall Thickness – The socket wall average thickness and minimum thickness shall be no less than the corresponding values
Socket Position – The fixed position for the bottom of the socket with reference to the centerline of the socket-welding fitting shall be maintained as required by the dimensions.
Socket Depth – The socket depth shall be no less than the minimum values.
Socket Bore – The inside surface of the socket bore shall present a good workmanlike finish that is free of burrs.
Perpendicularity – The end flats of socket welding fittings shall be at right angles to the socket axis.
Width – The forging radius shall not reduce the width of the flat welding surface to less than the value.

QUALITY ASSURANCE

At Instinox all fittings and flanges are subject to strict inspection at each stage of the production process, from starting material purchasing to product dispatch. They are visually examined for conformity to ASTM, ASME, MSS, DIN, EN, and JIS codes and standards. Upon request, official certified Inspection Agencies can be called in to witness the material reports, dimensions and quality conformity of products.

MARKING & PACKING

Products are packaged to ensure that there is no damage during transit. In a case of exports, the standard export packaging is done in wooden cases. All forged fittings are marked with Grade, Lot No, Size, Degree and our trademark. On special requests, we can also, make the custom marking on our products. Before the delivery of our products, we undertake a hundred percent in-house testing of our products, due to which we are the top zero defect product manufacturers.
